Rowan is based across two sites in the heart of Claygate, Surrey.

Rowan Brae (ages 2-7) is where the school first began in 1936 and is home to our Early Years and Pre-Prep girls.

Just a short walk away is Rowan Hill (ages 7-11), where our older girls continue their journey in a spacious and inspiring learning environment.

Together, the two sites provide the perfect setting for girls to learn, play, create and grow.

Our purpose-built Early Years spaces are designed to encourage curiosity, creativity and hands-on learning.

Every classroom opens onto its own dedicated outdoor area, giving girls the freedom to explore, discover and learn through play.

• The Glen, our much-loved multisensory learning environment

At Rowan Hill, specialist teaching and dedicated learning spaces help girls deepen their knowledge and discover new interests.

Facilities include:

• Specialist science, music and computing rooms
• A bright and spacious art studio
• An Engineering & Technology suite with 3D printers and industry-standard equipment
• A large hall used for assemblies, performances, sport and music

Ask a Rowan girl about her favourite place, and many will say The Spinney.

This much-loved woodland space is at the heart of school life and provides endless opportunities for imaginative play, outdoor learning and exploration.

Our Garden Room sits alongside The Spinney and provides a dedicated outdoor classroom where girls take part in a range of activities, including environmental and sustainability projects.

Girls also benefit from access to extensive sports facilities just a mile from the school, including:

• Tennis and netball courts
• Astroturf pitches
• Grass playing fields
• Athletics facilities
