On Monday 7 February, all of Year 6 took part in the training workshop provided by St. John Ambulance. They taught us vital first aid skills from what to do if someone is bleeding or choking to having an asthma attack or an allergic reaction. It was quite fun to learn how to bandage our friends up – whether it be their head, arm or hand! We also learnt how to put somebody in the recovery position and how to check if someone is responsive and if not, how to perform CPR. We all now feel ready to save someone’s life, if necessary.
