On Thursday 25th January, the Year One girls visited Guildford Museum where they experienced life as Victorian school girls.
The girls had the opportunity to participate in a variety of Victorian playground rhymes and games and to play with authentic Victorian toys. The girls took their own Victorian lunches and there was not a plastic container in sight. They all sat obediently at their sloping desks in the classrooms and wrote their names neatly and carefully in their copy books using pens and ink.
They all behaved very well and the cane and back straightener did not have to be used once! The staff at the museum commented on how polite and delightful the Rowan girls were.
