Summer Sounds

2 July 2019

Summer Sounds

Our last concert of the term celebrated the musical achievements of some of our talented string and wood wind players. It was particularly wonderful to hear what fantastic progress our Year 6 girls have made, and their performances were a true inspiration to the younger musicians. Nina opened the programme with a beautiful ‘cello performance of ‘Over the Rainbow’, and finished the concert with the very challenging Bach Prelude from G major solo suite. Anya’s clarinet performance of Hewig’s Theme by John Williams was a super choice and was confidently played, whilst Lottie’s toe tapping Foxtrot by Paul Harris really showed what can be achieved on the saxophone with lots of practice, enthusiasm and a super understanding of rhythm. Well done to all the performers and keep practising over the summer!
