Jack and the Beanstalk Year 3 Assembly

Jack and the Beanstalk Year 3 Assembly

‘Let there be music, Let there be magic, Let there be lots of noise’, and there certainly was on Monday morning, when girls in Year 3 took to the stage to perform their version of Roald Dahl’s ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. Dressed as farm yard animals, the girls sang and spoke in rhyme, bringing the adventures of Jack and his mum, Daisy the cow and of course the Giant, to an appreciative audience of parents, staff and the rest of the school. We followed Jack as he went off to the market, and were dazzled by traders urging him to ‘shop, shop, until you drop’, and watched him  trade Daisy for some ‘lousy beans’.  By the time Jack had climbed the Beanstalk, we were ready hear the Giant’s  ‘Fee Fi Fo Fum’ song performed so terrifyingly well by the whole cast, and then relieved at how Jack saw the humorous  side of the monster, making fun of his large ‘hooter’, used to smell out stinky children.

Thank goodness Jack and his friendly farm animals were able to defy the Giant’s phenomenal sniffing powers to come out triumphantly rich – and ‘squeaky clean’.
