On Tuesday Year 2 went to Woking to visit The WWF Living Centre. They took part in a Tropical Chocolate Discovery Trail, working with partners to answer clues about the wonders of the natural world. Year 2 investigated the importance of the rainforest and the natural resources we depend on, learning about how chocolate is made from a cocoa bean. The girls were introduced to fair trade and encouraged to think about their own food choices. The highlight of the morning was making delicious fair trade chocolate truffles and thinking creatively about packaging that does not harm the environment. The girls had a fabulous morning and their politeness, knowledge and interest were commented on by the WWF staff. Well done Year 2!
