Rowan Sport week ending 3/7/15

Year 2 round off this year's sport with inter-house rounders.

Year 2 have had a fantastic year being involved in many sporting events.  They have not only played matches against other schools in netball, hockey and rounders but also taking part in inter-house matches too.  They showcased their swimming skills in the exhibition and demonstrated athletic prowess in the recent sports day.

The last sporting event of the year for the girls was the inter-house rounders event this week which was a very exciting affair with some close matches.  The winners with most points were Hazel, 2nd Rose, 3rd Rowan and 4th Heather.

It has been a real pleasure watching the girls develop not only their individual skills but seeing their determination and confidence grow.  It will be exciting to see the girls advance as they now move to Rowan Hill and I am looking forward to seeing them there.

Well done girls I am extremely proud of each of you.

U8-U11 Gala v Manor House and Eastwick

On the hottest day anyone can remember for ten years, the Rowan swim team went to Manor House School for their final gala of the year competing against Manor House and Eastwick.   All the year groups swam brilliantly in their individual and relay races.  The results were announced and we won, Manor House came second and Eastwick were third.  It was a great way to end the year with a well deserved win.

I have loved leading the team in all swim galas and I'm sure the next Swim Captain will love it just as much.  Thank you to all the games staff for a fantastic year of swimming!
