The girls might well have thought they were in India as they arrived for our annual summer camp!
Staff were dressed in Kurtas from Rajasthan and the hall was adorned with Indian fabrics. The girls were keen to hear about Miss Sharps’ adventures in India and her experience of working in an orphanage.
And surprise, surprise, all the activities planned had an Indian twist! The Bollywood dancing, mehndi biscuit decorating, block printing, rangoli rice patterns and elephant collages were a huge hit with the girls.
I think it is fair to say that the adults had as much fun as the girls and it was a lovely opportunity for the girls to see their friends and make new ones before the start of the new school year.
