On Tuesday 6 March Grace , along with support from Lauren , attended the WE day pep rally at the Virgin Atlantic headquarters in Crawley. Many people attended, included the CEO of Virgin Atlantic and one of the founders of the charity, WE. WE is a movement that brings people together and gives them the tools to change the world.
Grace had the opportunity to stand at the front and share her experience of winning the ‘Change is in the air’ competition and how the Year 6 girls planted trees in order to make a positive impact to the issue of deforestation.
Everyone at Virgin Atlantic and WE were thrilled to meet Grace and hear about how she has made a positive impact in the world.
The following day, Wednesday 7 March, ten Year 6 girls had the opportunity to attend WE day at the Wembley SSE arena. Rowan were lucky enough to have been allocated tickets due to Grace’s success and what an incredible day it was! There were performances from Alexandra Burke, Hrvy and The Kenyan Boys choir which the girls thoroughly enjoyed singing and dancing along to. There were also some truly inspirational speeches from people such as Katie Piper, Lily Collins and both Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. All girls left WE day feeling incredibly lucky for the lives they have and felt empowered to make a positive difference in the world.
