The Rowan Carol service is always one of the highlights of the year, when the whole school community celebrates Christmas together with family and friends.
Our ‘Carols by Candlelight’ was held in the beautiful setting of Holy Trinity Church, Claygate, and the addition of four stunning Christmas trees decorated by our girls and other local Junior Schools, provided a very atmospheric setting for Christmas carols, poems and readings. Some parents and staff joined the Senior Chamber Choir to sing the ‘Carol of the Bells’, and a firm favourite proved to be the toe tapping ‘We’ll Have a Ragtime Holiday’ sung by all girls in Year 6.
Years 3 and 4 warmed our hearts with their Christmas Cantata which retold Gabriel’s Message, the Journey of the Magi and the Birth of Jesus in song and choral verse. We even had the traditional carol, ‘Noel Noevelet’ sung by Year 5 in French.
Thank you to all at Holy Trinity for making us feel so welcome and festive!
