On Friday 15 February, Reception celebrated the girls’ achievements so far this year with some very special guests at the Brae. The girls entertained their grandparents and friends with jolly songs relating to our ‘All Aboard’ topic. They then delighted the audience with an enthusiastic performance of ‘The Owl and the Pussy Cat’ by Edward Lear. Our audience were very impressed by the beautiful singing and the girls’ ability to learn such a long poem.
Afterwards, the Reception classes invited the visitors into the classrooms where the girls were especially keen to share their latest artwork (papier maché hot air balloons) and barely left a page of their Learning Folders unturned. The girls were terrific hosts and made their grandparents and teachers very proud indeed.
