On Monday morning, Year 2 had another wonderful visit to The Homewood, a National Trust property in Esher, looked after by Mr & Mrs Scott, parents of one of our pupils. Year 2 were therefore extremely lucky to have their own tour of the home and gardens. Exploring the gardens, the girls were impressed by the beauty of the range of flowers, the lake and ponds. Inside the house, the girls were treated to an interesting tour by National Trust volunteers. They made lots of comparisons between their own homes and the home that architect, Patrick Gwynne designed and built in 1938. The girls were all impressed with the modern features of the house, all of which were ahead of their time. Thank you again to Mr and Mrs Scott for their time and for welcoming us so warmly to the Homewood and to their daughter, who designed and made an informative leaflet for the girls to take home about the house and gardens.
