Junior leadership project at Barclays Bank HQ
On Tuesday 27 February, the Junior Leadership Team had the privilege of attending Barclays to participate in a social change event. Miss Enefer and Mrs Mahoney were kind enough to accompany us on the trip. When we arrived, we met children from other schools by playing a massive game of human bingo – you had to ask questions to people you didn’t know to find out if they matched a square on your grid.
After we had mingled with the other schools, we reviewed our own project to decide which part of our process was the most challenging. We shared our ideas as we went around the room.
The main part of the day was when we delivered our presentation to all of the other schools – it was fascinating to discover what everyone had decided to do as their social change project.
At the end of the day, we played a few more games. In one, we had to work together with different schools to make shapes, letters and objects by posing together. We really enjoyed the game where we tapped the back of people who we thought would make a difference. We decided that everyone was capable of changing the world.
We would like to say a huge thank you to Miss Roberts-Holmes for organising the trip and supporting us with our project and presentation. We collected a vast quantity of food for the Food Bank – Well done everyone!
