Reduce, Reuse, Recycle was the theme of our Kindergarten Sports Day this year!
The weather was on our side, the girls were excited and the parents waited with baited breath for their competitions too!
The morning went without a hitch with the girls demonstrating all the skills they have been practising over the past year. There were beaming smiles on their faces as they ran fast carrying a sponge trying not to spill any water (Reduce); they saved the planet by throwing and catching a ball; galloped like Tapirs, balanced like Sloths, crawled like Caimans, rolled like Armadillos on the floor and climbed the layers or the rainforest (large apparatus) to understand the need to save the rainforests; went on a journey to the recycling centre (obstacle race) and reused socks and plastic containers in a throwing game.
Congratulations go to the Food group (red/white stripes who worked as a fabulous team coming first overall. Well done to all the teams for putting on such a splendid display all morning.
Thank you to all the Kindergarten parents for getting into the spirit of the event and helping to make your daughter’s first Sports Day such a great success.
